Srisailam Mallikarjuna Jyotirlinga Devasthana

We planned a family trip to Srisailam in Andhra Pradesh to offer prayers at Sri Mallikarjuna Devasthana, one of India’s 12 Jyotirlinga temples.

We flew from Kochi to Hyderabad and then drove to Srisailam. Srisailam is located in the Nallamala forest area of Andhra Pradesh and is also a sacred Shaktipeeta where goddess Bhramaramba resides to bless her devotees.

Devotees can book darshan and accommodation online on the Srisaila Devasthana website. There are plenty of accommodation options available in and around the temple premises. Please beware of the fake websites that offer darshan and accommodation. It’s always safe to download the temple app from AppStore and make all bookings through that.

It was a great spiritual experience to get darshan and blessings of Lord Mahadeva and Goddess Bhramaramba.

We visited Sakshi Ganpati temple and a few sites around Srisailam - Srisailam dam, Paatal Ganga etc and then headed back to Hyderabad.

In Hyderabad, we met my cousin and family and roamed around the city for sightseeing, Hyderabadi Biriyani, plenty of shopping. Had a great time for 2 days and returned to Kochi by flight.
