I've been wanting to visit Tirumala and get Lord Venkatesha's blessings for a while now, and we finally did it! We went with our parents and family, and it turned out to be such a wonderful and memorable trip. You could feel the presence of the Lord everywhere in the temple, and I felt super lucky to be at His abode in Tirumala.
We started off from Thrissur by train and on reaching Tirupati, checked in to our hotel, freshened up and drove to Sri Kalahasti temple.
Sri Kalahasti temple, is a renowned Hindu temple located in the town of Kalahasti in Andhra Pradesh, India. This ancient temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva and is particularly famous for its architecture and historical significance. It is believed that the temple was constructed during the Pallava dynasty and later expanded by the Chola and Vijayanagara empires. Many legends surround the temple, including the story of how a spider, snake, and elephant worshipped Lord Shiva
After having a flavourful spicy Andhra meal for lunch, in the evening we visited the Goddess Padmavaty Temple, dedicated to Goddess Padmavaty, the consort of Lord Venkateswara. We also visited the Kapileshwara Temple and Anjaneya temples in Tirupati.
It was Amma's birthday, so we celebrated it at a restaurant in Tirupati in the evening.
Next day, we started off very early as per our darshan slot to Tirumala. Tirumala is almost an hour drive from Tirupati, and is the abode of Lord Venkatesha.
Tirumala temple, also known as the Tirupati temple or the Venkateswara temple, is a renowned Hindu temple dedicated to Lord Venkateswara, an incarnation of Lord Vishnu. Located in the Tirumala hills of Andhra Pradesh, India, this temple is one of the most visited pilgrimage sites in the world, attracting millions of devotees each year. The temple is surrounded by the picturesque Seven Hills, which is sacred in Hindu mythology.
We get Laddu as prasadam and is very special.
The entire premises of Tirumala is so well maintained, neat and clean that it looks like a totally different world.
Post our darshan of Lord Shri Venkatesha , we visited Gopalaswamy temple, AkashaGanga and Papanasham in Tirumala.
